Hi everyone,
Welcome to 365 Days of Poetry & Honesty! There isn't as much description this week, but I hope you enjoy the poems <3
Monday
Tuesday
The first line I took from Anne Carson. She's one of my favourite poets. I’ll put an extract from the piece below the poem!
“You used to say. "Desire doubled is love and love doubled is madness."
Madness doubled is marriage
I added
when the caustic was cool, not intending to produce
a golden rule.” - Anne Carson, The Beauty of the Husband
Wednesday
I wrote a draft of the first one a couple of months ago and forgot about it, and as I was scrolling through my word document I found it and it felt a bit like a companion piece for the poem below it.
Thursday
Friday
Saturday
Sunday
Something like a myth
Thank you for reading my poems! I hope this week brings you moments of joy :)
With Love,
Oyinda
