Hi everyone,
Welcome to 365 Days of Poetry & Honesty <3 I hope you’ve had a good week! Sorry the newsletter is late, I had a busy Sunday, and I’m feeling a bit jaded tbh but I’m here and I’ve got some poems 4 you!
Here are some songs I’ve been listening to this week :)
Monday
With this poem, I’m thinking about obsession, about how it happens, where it comes from… potentially a feeling of emptiness that feels inescapable. And I’m thinking about what it means to love someone from a distance and say things like ‘become// your unsung flower’ and how sad it all is when your heart is devoted to being swallowed up by someone else's fire, when it's already inside you always
Tuesday
Love To Jesus
Wednesday
you seee me feel
Thursday
A redraft of a poem I shared a couple of months ago! I’ve hit that wall again of self-doubt & hopelessness and maybe I should pray for more patience but I reckon God is tired of hearing my voice lol
Friday
rain rain come again
Saturday
Absolute chaos
Sunday
‘enough// to be part of something bigger was enough’ !! a poem by Nicole Callihan
This second poem is by Lauren-Lois (@laurenlois.art on instagram). It’s part of her exhibition ‘Can I Hold The Mic?’ at Spiral Galleries in Shoreditch, which is open for general viewing till the 11th September! If you're able to, come through!! It's beautiful.
Thank you for reading my newsletter! Have a beautiful week, hopefully full of love & wonder ❤️
With love,
Phoenix
