Hi everyone,
Welcome to 365 Days of Poetry & Honesty! I’ve cried plenty of times this week, and half my tears were because I started thinking about Amy Winehouse and how addiction puts your mind and mental health in a lockbox and holds you hostage. I also rewatched ‘A Star Is Born’. I went to see it in the cinema when it first came out and usually I read the plot on Wikipedia beforehand so I know what to expect + if I’ll like it. For some reason I didn’t do that so I went into the cinema not knowing anything, and I was super upset with myself for that decision because the film absolutely crushed me. After it ended I sat there sobbing and I really had to console myself afterwards because it felt very personal and dark and I was really angry at whoever wrote the script because it made me feel hopeless and it felt like it was hinging on some kind of truth I did not want to know and I know it's fictional but I get stupidly attached to things lol. Anyways it's a great and beautiful movie.
This week I’ve got three songs to share with you :)
