Hi everyone,
Happy Holidays !! I hope you’ve been able to spend the past few days indulging :) I thought I’d start the newsletter with the above quote about poetry by Dorothea Lasky because it put to words exactly what it is I love about writing poetry.
The first couple are songs my sister loves! & the third one is an old favourite <3

It's funny, I had to cross out ‘contained’ because it didn't fit and I thought “well, i guess it can be contained”. That being said, especially when you're caught up in the moment, life is full of hyperbole. Also this is poetry, also who knows ? who cares ? lol
Thursday
I’ve been wanting to write this poem for a while, about this sentiment, how sometimes it hurts to have hope because the story always seems to end in loss and yet here I still am, clinging to it, though I’d rather call it faith.

The beauty of dialectics is I can tell myself that bodies aren't homes but I can also believe in a love so big and comforting that to look at your person, to be touched by them, there's this knowing like you're home.
Sunday
Happy Boxing Day! I’m tired and in a food coma so here's a beautiful quote by Mona Sa’udi and the Anne Sexton is a favourite of mine that I often go back to.
P.S. Happy Holidays <3 here’s what is in my opinion a Christmas Classic!
