Hello,
I hope you’re having a good sunday. I finished ‘August Blue’ by Deborah Levy and I feel certain that she’s my favourite author. This poem exists because of her, also ‘The Room Next Door’, by Pedro Almodóvar. I watched it this morning and cried all the way through it.
“His soul swooned slowly as he heard the snow falling faintly through the universe and faintly falling, like the descent of their last end, upon all the living and the dead.”
from James Joyce, Dubliners. Snow falls at the end of the film.
Thank you for reading.
With love,
Phoenix
Sending love and strength 🤍
